Osogbo, the Osun State
capital will soon play host to an international hotel franchise chain, Best
Western Hotel, expected to cost N2.5bn. A statement by the Project Team
Manager, Mr. Lanre Bakare, on Thursday stated that the four-star hotel would
complement efforts by the Osun State Governor, Ogbeni. Rauf Aregbesola, to make
the state an investment and tourism hub.
Bakare said the hotel
would be managed by Best Western, and would consist of 105 rooms, conference
hall, swimming pool and a golf course.
He added that the coming
of the hotel, to be financed by Keynes Private Equity, would be a boost to the
state government’s economic transformation programme, generate employment
opportunities, and attract tourists, with positive multiplier effects on the
state’s finances.
