Abu
Dhabi-based company Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab
Emirates and new owner of Manchester City took service to unbelievable altitude
by installing hotel rooms on board their commercial flight on long hauls. The
rooms called Residence comes with living room, separate double bedroom, an en-suite bathroom and a dedicated savoy academy trained butler. The living room
has a leather double-seat sofa, two dining tables, cabinet for chilled drink
and a 32 inch TV. These facilities are installed in the upper deck of the air plane. The corridors are narrow though, but well lit.
Just before
the plane start taxing, the cabin service director will announce that lesser
mortals at the economy should switch off their mobile phones; while the
elitists at the hotel can now switch on their wi-fi so they can work, rest and
play. If you still think money cannot buy happiness, then you don’t where to
shop!
Welcome on
board.
